Monday July 15:
Arrival day in Ponoka of: visitors, participants and horses.
The afternoon will have the focus on setup and practices in the arenas of the Calnash Ag Event Centre.

Tuesday July 16:
10 am Opening/welcome.
10:05 Anthems played (US – Dutch – Canadian)
6 riders with flags by: AFHA members.
Entry of board members and special invitees with 2 nice carriages, like Landaus, pulled by 4 in hands.
10:15 Derby with singles, pairs, teams (max.10 participants) (setup derby course on Monday).
11:00 Ringsteken for saddle horses and carriages.
11:20 Driving clinic with Anne Okkema – While Anne is driving a single horse he explains the audience what the basics are for driving a horse properly (frame, bending, softness, etc). in the meantime, 2 other drivers are driving a single or a pair and Anne explains the audience what they are doing good and what not so good. Then people from the audience can drive Anne’s horse and Anne helps and teaches them. Preferably visitors who has never driven before but would love to do so.
12 – 1:30 Lunch break.

2:00 Funny hitches show + costume riding.
2:15 Champions and Reserve Champions of the 2017 and 2018 Keuring (showing in hand).
2:30 Freestyle or musical Kur (by 4 – 5 riders – different levels)
3:00 Games (e.g.: glasses with water (walk, trot, canter and who arrives with the fullest glass wins a bottle of wine)
3:30 Best Riding horse (group of 6 to 8 horses) judged by Dutch judges
3:45 Best Driving horse (group of 6 to 8 horses) judged by Dutch judges
4:00 Tandem riding and tandem driving.
4:10 driving clinic with Anne Okkema, similar as in the morning (if there is enough interest for it)
at the same time in the small arena a judging clinic (if there is enough interest for it)
Tuesday July 16: Evening show.
Wednesday July 17:
There is the weekly cattle auction in Ponoka which can be visited at free choice. Then around 10 am a bus tour through the area including visiting breeders, catered lunch, a visit to a local brewery, and more. Once back in Ponoka, everybody will get time to get ready for the banquet, being held in the evening.
